Sandy`s Famous Hot Dogs in Lexington

Came here with a group of 4... We ended a birthday celebration weekend here at Sandy's. The employees were very attentive in helping us order. We received all our food quick. We ordered chili dogs and got banana split and ice cream cone/cup. The employees are extemely friendly and patient and the ice cream and chili were delicious!

Absolutely love this place. They have the best chili dog special in town!! Also, the ice cream flavors are the best... I had the bubble gum..YUM😁😁

A very popular restaurant that's been around for a while. It's a little dirty on the inside but the food and service is great. They have really good ice cream and the hot dogs are amazing.

Great place for hot dogs. I got 2 chili cheese dogs just like I used to get in my undergraduate days, 25 years ago. They were better than I remembered them being.

The hot dogs here are great. The restaurants are always clean and their customer service is always been good. They got several different hot dog choices as well as several different ice cream choices. Great places to bring kids

Been eating here for years with my grandfather after golfing. He passed away 2 years ago and this was my first time coming back. Sandys didn't dissapoint. amazing food, ice cream, and the best service. Thank you

Excellent, two young ladies greeted us, prompt service with smiles. Great presentation with our milk shakes. We enjoy the fact the ice cream doesn't have a lot of additives. The hot dogs are very special. Just one of our favorite places to visit!

Just not worth the cost for the most basic grilled cheese and hot dogs. No healthy options as sides or even applesauce cups for the kids. The ladies behind the counter were friendly but supervisor was pushy. Next to the toy store they could do well with some more kid/healthy foods.

The person who took my order was very nice and very professional. Unfortunately, I only had a large Ice tea while here, so I can't give you any more detail on the food, but the Ice Tea was very good! LOLThe establishment has a very cozy feel to it, and I really enjoyed my few minutes in there. Everything was very clean and neat. I'll have to edit my review for when I actually have some food here. I'll keep you guys updated.

Just tried the chili dog. The dog had a crisp skin which I loved and the chili was good as well.

The hotdogs are absolutely amazing, especially the slaw dogs with pimento cheese. The ice cream and milk shakes are exceptional. The staff is always so nice.

Great customer service!!! Love the ice cream flavors and hot dogs. The door was opened for us and a very kind gentleman gave my daughter a quarter to get a gumball before she left. Its moments like these that make you want to come back. Thank you for treating my family like family.

Hot Dogs were okay but not great. Chilli. was greasy and bland.

Sandys is always good on a hot day. Comfy clasdic atmosphere with cool amd polite staff. 11/10 Would banana split again.

Hot dogs were room temperature at best. Did not receive all of our order. Observed clumps of dust and who knows what else dropping off the ceiling into the food they where preparing. NASTY!!! We will not be back.

Friendly employees and really good hot dogs and the ice cream is delicious. Restaurant is clean and tidy and bathroom is clean and stocked.

Sandy's has long been a favorite for hotdogs and ice cream in the Columbia area and after a recent visit they are still the best place to grab a hotdog and a solid choice for ice cream or banana splits. The thing that sets the Sandy's hotdogs is the quality of the dog, bun, slaw and chilli. Most places that have hotdogs serve them as an after thought but it is the main attraction at Sandy's. If you want something unquie go with the pimento cheese dog.

Maybe a little overpriced, but quite good. The hotdogs are, to be expected, very good, and the chili and slaw toppings are both very tasty. I would recommend the chili and slaw dog as a result (the slaw doesn't have too much mayo and yet is still nice and cream (very unique taste) and the chili is hot and has a variety of spices that elevate it). All of the hotdogs are good, in my opinion, and I'll be back for more. When it comes to ice cream, the sundae is impressive in appearance, yet the ice cream here is nothing special (the flavors at places like Publix (Publix Premium, PET, Turkey Hill) are much better), so I was a little disappointed on that front. I think that the meal was a little overpriced as well, but aside from price and ice cream disappointment, it's good. The hot dogs are their staple and it shows.

Took my daughters here for lunch after visiting the toy store next door. I got the Chicago dog and added pimento cheese. It was delicious! Hot dogs are all beef. My older daughter requested the jumbo hot dog. Wow, it was a whopper! Love that they were able to enjoy a couple of ice cream cones after lunch, as well. Great place to treat yourself and bring along the family. Staff was very courteous and friendly. Also very generous with the ice cream scoops!

Always very good Super Chilli dogs and the most excellent freshly made by hand, old fashioned milkshakes. Peach is my favorite I travel from Elgin SC to the Sandy's in Lexington SC. Must have my Super Chilli Dog & Peach shake. The Lexington location is 5 plus stars in every area to be rated. The Owner & employees make sure your experience is always great. There are other stores closer, but to me Lexington is outstanding.

Hot dogs were good. Potato salad was great. Real ice cream! Little bit pricey.

Hot dogs with chili are fine. Ice cream was a big hit. One order of ice cream had a few icicles in the cone. Overall, Sandy's is a worthwhile trip.

Wasn't very impressed. Decided to visit based on reviews since I was running errands with my kids in the area. I love a good hot dog! Grew up eating Gray's Papaya in NYC and Ben's Chilli Bowl in DC- so I can appreciate a good hot dog! Ordered two plain hot dogs and a slaw dog with 2 drinks- came out to $16! Way too pricey for hot dogs! Nothing special about the hot dog. They were all beef hot dogs, and the buns were soft. My slaw dog was tasty, but nothing special. The workers weren't very friendly either.

Hot dogs perfect. Ice cream perfect, lots of flavors and very creamy. Good prices. Friendly staff. Clean atmosphere. Owner was friendly and gave quarters to all the kids in the store to get gumballs.

Very dirty restaurant the walls have grease on them and they cooked my hamburger in a microwave who does that. For the prices they charge they should be cooking the food fresh way overpriced for hotdogs.

Really delicious local hot dog spot. The service is friendly and prices are really reasonable for how much food you can get. Their chili is really tasty and I would recommend it on any hotdog. I really recommend doing their slaw dogs which come with chili and their Cole slaw. The onions are large chunks of raw white onions so if you don't like them make sure to ask that they are not added.
